A collection of custom furniture works — Custom furniture is where interior design becomes most tangible. Every curve, joint, and material choice is a deliberate act of intention.

CONCEPT:
This display cupboard design is inspired by the unique artwork and painting that we usually find in Pakistani truck arts. The truck art is very famous in Pakistan and can be seen everywhere.
For this cupboard, I am using geometric elements with warm colors to merge the cultural designs and patterns with modern styles and user needs.
Cultural Design
The design has driven from UAE's traditional circular arch shape. It has repetition technique with different circulation which makes it look like a complete shape when seen it from the front perspective but different when seen from somewhere else.
The main concept behind the design is to create a pathway shade with the use of metal and threads with different visual effects for each person. The installation encourages the visitors to interact with it by attaching hand written notes on the multi colored threads that are attached with the metal structure and poles.
Floor to Ceiling Lamp
Deoxy Ribbons is a high (almost till ceiling) lamp, designed as a floor-to-ceiling lamp but can be used in both high-ceiling and low-ceiling environments.
The concept of its design is inspired by the DNA as it is referred to in the name; this DNA shape can only be recognised at the eye level, where both rods meet and illuminate, otherwise this shape can also be seen as a ribbon.
Pendent Lamp
The concept behind this luminaire was to create something from the recyclable material found easily at home or anywhere else. Newspapers are one of the many things that can be found mostly anywhere. PVC pipes are also easily available near any hardware store or factories. The idea was to combine these two recyclable items and create a new and modern furniture that reduces the waste and promotes sustainability.
This pendent lamp is designed as a focal lamp or task lamp, the direction of light is direct, and it is a downlight.
