Residential & Commercial Design
AL FALAH LABOR ACCOMMODATION CENTER
Al Falah Labor Accommodation Center was designed as a purpose-built residential facility for 40 laborers and supervisors of Al Falah Engineering Works.
Role :
Interior Planning, Concept Development, Technical Detailing, Visualization

Project Overview
This project reimagines labor housing as a dignified and comfortable living environment rather than a purely functional space. Designed for 40 residents, the accommodation balances privacy, community, and well-being, while meeting all required standards.
The aim was simple: create a place that feels restorative after physically demanding workdays.

Concept & Design Approach
Nature & Light — Known to Unknown
The design draws from the idea that while workers relocate far from home, nature remains a constant everywhere.
Key design directions include:
Soft, curved forms to contrast harsh work environments
Natural light as a primary element
Indoor greenery for familiarity and calm
A mix of warm and cool tones to create visual energy
The result is a space that feels welcoming, human, and emotionally grounding.

Planning & Functionality
The layout focuses on efficient zoning and smooth circulation, mainly across the 2nd and 3rd floors.
Core Spaces:
Shared sleeping rooms with custom bunk beds
Private supervisor room
Dining hall connected to kitchen
Multipurpose/social hall
Prayer spaces (multi-faith inclusive)
Gym + indoor recreation
